How does hypnosis vary?
There are many different approaches used in solving issues that aren’t working for us, from counselors and therapists, meditations, creative activities, gurus, etc. But just as a variety of tools are necessary in constructing a home, we all require a variety of approaches at times.
Usually, people tend to be a bit skeptical about hypnosis and fall back on the tried-and-true ways of their ancestors. Who can blame them? After all, it worked for mom and dad… or did it? The world may never know. Seriously though, people generally do attempt to resolve the issue via other methods before attempting a new approach with which they are unfamiliar, and that makes logical sense.
Older techniques may cost less—initially—unless they don’t work. Often the directions for some of the other approaches are too complicated, even though the smiling models make it look like a cinch. Other times the methods being used are blatantly obvious but tend to start up uncomfortable and unwanted conversations. Some people feel as if each time they purchase a supportive device, they are somehow stepping into a verdict of judgement time and again. Hypnosis is private and shows no outward signs other than the results. Most times the process is complete after just a few sessions, with preliminary results showing as soon as the first time.
