When you center yourself, everything else falls into place.

Have you ever had one of those days that no matter how hard you try, nothing seems to work the right way? Even if you work at clearing your mind to begin again, your mind has already latched onto the horrible events that have transpired and there doesn't seem to be a way of getting them back. I've had that happen. I've actually cancelled personal appointments because I was afraid of messing things up for myself--but that was in the past. I mean, look at how I allowed one small discrepancy to manipulate 24 hours of my life or more -- because some of those things I'd cancelled would have impacted my future, right?

That's when stopping to take what I refer to as a "commercial break from life" kicks in. And it may seem difficult to do at first, but with practice it gets easier, believe me. Taking a moment to find a quiet place where I won't be disturbed, even if it's a restroom, and taking a few deep breaths (in a clean restroom), exhaling slowly with my eyes closed and (this part takes practice) clearing my head of any thoughts of what brought me to this moment. Keep in mind, I'm not suggesting you not deal with anything, right? I'm merely suggesting that you do a regrouping of your thought process, creating a clarified order, and restart taking baby steps. Or as they say, "eating the elephant one bite at a time." I'd start with the tail because it's smaller and it can't possibly see you coming. 😉

Seriously though, a terrific way to practice this is by meditating on a regular basis and perhaps practicing a bit of self-hypnosis. This program has a free 10-day meditation program that definitely is worth the trouble of practicing. As a matter of fact, when done correctly, will change your life. Hypnosis is a step beyond that for more specific measures of when you need direct access to change.

So the thought is that rather than going back to sleep and hoping things are different when you wake up in an hour, take 5 - 10 minutes to regroup for an even better and more predictable outcome. (Psst, for a limited time, there's an additional app that will allow you free access for a year and I love it. You should give it a shot. https://www.balanceapp.com/) By the way, I don't get a commission or anything, so no need to mention my name, but enjoy!
